XGN17D-40.5 C-GIS（Cubicle Gas Insulated Switchgear）is a cubicle switchboard of 40.5kV three-phase AC 50Hz single bus and sectionalized single-bus system. The high-voltage components of each functional unit are installed in a sealed metal cabinet filled with low-pressure SF6 gas for insulation, so it can reliably be used under harsh conditions and greatly reduce the size and floor space of switchgear. C-GIS serves the function of control, protection and monitoring and is mainly used for power distribution of power plant substation, industrial and mining enterprises or under the conditions of high humidity (or condensation), high altitude, and pollution. C-GIS has an edge over conventional air-insulated switchgear in economy, feasibility, reliability and miniaturization.
XGN17D-40.5 C-GIS conforms to the standards of IIEC 62271-200, IEC 62271-102, IEC 62271-100, GB 3906, GB 1984, GB1985, etc. Its components are properly arranged, fully sealed, and extendable with various schemes, secure and reliable operation, and convenient on-site installation. It is new power distribution equipment incorporating advanced components and high-tech manufacturing.
◎ Small in size, less land occupied, one third to one fourth of the conventional air-insulated switchgear in size.
◎ High-voltage components are fully sealed, free from external influences. It can be safely operated for a long time in hostile environments.
◎ The primary equipment is maintenance-free with minimum maintenance workload and lowest maintenance cost.
◎ The new vacuum circuit breaker as master switch is reliable in performance. The three-position switch incorporates disconnecting switch and earthing switch, serving three functions of connection, isolation and grounding. It enjoys simplified structure and higher reliability.
◎ Modular design makes the parts of the same specification interchangeable. With the components of plug-type structure, on-site installation, extension and replacement do not involve SF6 gas problem handling.
◎ The use of intelligent control and protection achieves automatic relay protection.
◎ All high-voltage components are insulated and its housing is safe for contact.
