Rectifier transformers are widely used in light industry, metallurgy, chemical engineering and electroplating industries. They have two types: oil immersed type and dry type. ZS is oil immersed, ZSG/ZSC is dry type and ZSF is splitting decomposition liquid immersed type. The input power is connected to the net side while the frequency transformer, DC device and silicon control rectifier are connected to the valve side. The product has two levels: 10kV and 35kV.
Owing to different requirements on equivalent phase numbers, the power transformer has only three sinusoidal pulses in one cycle, while the rectifier transformer has as many as 12 or more.
The output current calculation method of the rectifier transformer is different from that of the power transformer. Calculation methods may also be different due to differences of the rectifier circuits.
There are differences in voltage regulating purposes and ranges. The power transformer usually keeps the output voltage values unchanged, while the rectifier transformer needs to satisfy not only voltage changes but also that the threshold voltage must can be regulated within a relatively broad range.
